The latest SDC DD is the SHIZNIT! I have the 12CP one and billet input shaft kit in my 5 spd. its a bit slow to shift over a lighter clutch but will hold anything you throw at it. i've been amazed each time i've hauled my Toy Hauler this year with its driveability. once i backed from the street all the way in my driveway and parked it with the emergency brake on. that's about 300 feet, around a corner and jockeying to get it just right at the garage. It never got hot or grabby. other times i've had to slip it quite a bit backing in at CG's and its never once acted up.

It's never even hinted at slipping, not even with the TH on the back (9800lbs) and the TST on level 7 pulling 45PSI of boost on a short on ramp.

I launch in 3rd gear when racing and have to slip and ride it out for about the first 100yards, no a problem!

Absolutely love this clutch. i've had (of course) the stocker, Con O, Con FE and this one. its the best one yet!

Rivercat,

As you probably know the 3250 number (pounds) or 3650, 3850 Etc. is the plate/clamp load (holding power) that the clutches springs deliver.

The 6CB, 10CB, 12CB are the amount of clutch material button on each disk face.

The more buttons you go the more power you are able to hold. Also you'll need more buttons for the sledpulling type of thing.

The CB represents the Ceramic Button, the FB represents the Feramic(metallic) button.

The Feramic material is much more expensive and will cost you more.

check out www.southbendclutch.com for more info!

For general use in the 500hp area I would suggest the 3600cb.

If your going to sled pull alot or a little I would get the 3850 unit (this one is a little tougher to drive).
