Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Double LP Pumper Possibility????

So my LP goes out at 199,000mi... (2 days ago)



Thanks to Bo I got the $70. 25 Part# 4090046 pump.



Can I frame mount this new pump near the fuel tank and leave the engine mounted failed pump in place???

no, you want to get rid of the bad pump, you can re-locate the new one on the frame but get rid of the bad one..... it cant push fuel through it.

First of all... CRAP!!



So what do I do with the gap?



Can I run a 1/2" line from the new Frame Mounted Pump to the Banjo Bolt... (?) how would I do that? Go straight to the Filter I guess.



How have (all of) you completed this task?

if i were you i would try and run 3/8 id lines and get rid of the Banjo fittings, and free up the fuel flow, you can make all your own lines and fittings.

Great! So just clamp off a flex hose after tank and remove the line from clamped point to fuel filter - hook up new pump after the clamp and run the new ?psi hose to the fuel filter...



Is that pretty much it?
