double shocks (rear)?

Anybody out there know of a double shock kit for the rear of a 2500 4x4? Tried the air bag set-up and did not like it... Have a cab-over camper, and would like to get rid of some of the roll in corners when the camper is on. . Have the factory over-loads, was thinking of fabing brackets to mount an additional pair (maybe air) of shocks.

I'm surprized the air bags didn't help. Two friends have air bags on the Rams and both really brag how they flattened the load with the slide-on and towing the boat. One has onboard air to adjust the ride while driving and the other does it manually.

You do have a rear sway bar? That helped a lot, too.



I have yet to feel a set of air shocks that match the performance of the bags. They may be out there, but I sure haven't found them.

Have you considered the Roadmaster Active Suspension?

Do you have an anti-sway bar in the rear? If not the factory one should bolt right up. The extended cab trucks (at least the newer ones) come with an anti-sway bar. I checked and mine has all the holes that are necessary to install it. This might not be the case on older trucks. If you already have an anti-sway bar then you should look for a thicker one for less flex or possably replace the rubber bushings with poly-plastic ones.

Hellwig makes a rear sway bar that is bigger than the factory unit. It really flattens the sway out.

Roadmaster won't work on rig with factory overloads... . unless you remove them, which I do not think I want to do... Rick

Racokley, About the best set up to have is the RS9000 shocks in combo with the air bags. My rear stabilizer was standard.
