Well, Here we go! I have 2 issues with the old girl.

#1. About 1 month ago heading home on the Interstate I set the Cruise control and to my dismay the truck started these little, but noticeable, jerks or tiny misses. This only happens when the cruise is set. It occurs on average every 3-5 seconds. The truck barely loses 1mph or less, but none the less on the hills it is anoying. I am assuming there is a throttle control/position sensor or speed sensor that is the culprit, but I know someone here has no duobt had the same problem. Any help to remedey this would be helpful!

#2. The stinkin Output seal at the transfer case is now leaking for the 3rd time. Anyone know of an aftermarket seal that will last and where to get it from. I need to run the truck for 10 more days before servicing. I believe one of the studs come out to check the fluid level. Where exactly do I check the fluid level and what type of fluid to top it off?

2001. 5 HO 6-speed (just turned 80,000 miles)

On the T-Case. . look at the back of the case there should be two plugs with about 3/8 allen fittings... the bottom is the drain. . the top is a filler. . fill until it runs out... ATF... A few things to check on the your rear seal. . one. . make sure its not running down from the top of the tail housing... 2nd. . Mine was leaking out of the end of the yoke... (There is a. . freeze plug type plug at the end of the yoke... I pulled the yoke, and sealed it from the inside... ) Others have had to replace the yoke to stop it from knocking out the seals...

Good luck. .

Bryan
