I just installed a new sb d/d clutch and i cant get it to hook up. Peter set it up so it will go into gear better than the last 2 i had. I also have a clutch pedal not coming back to the top during a quick shift. If you let off the fuel it will disengauge. I have tried to seat it with no luck. I have a dyno event coming up so im in a pinch to get it fixed. I will call Peter monday. If anybody has any thought i would appreciate them. TIA... ... ... ... ... . Brad

Im curious but "peter set it so it goes into gear better" ? With a clutch, its either engaged or not, how your manual goes into gear depends on your syncros and weather the clutch is engaged. If your lever is not coming all the way up under full load then something is sticking and parts need to be replaced. which leads back to the new clutch not hooking up, the clutch is not engaging fully probably because of the same reason.

Clutch slave and master cylinder?

Perhaps it was necessary to piece several parts for your 6 spd conversion?

Peter could likely hook you up with a good deal on the slave and clutch master cylinder unit. .

Good luck

Andy

I was going to suggest the slave cylinder, I had sort of the same problem with my dd but mine wasn't from installation my incedent happened just shifting coming home from work, the old one with nearly 200k on it just didn't like that 1k dd anymore and gave up... lol, but problem fixed now and no worries about 10 hooks later and still love this clutch all though no one other than me likes to shift this truck... lol

Russell, no one probably likes your truck anyway. Last time I saw it, it was leaving large oil puddles wherever it went.

But I guess I should shut-up before you talk to John next time.

too late mister can't keep from blowing transmission cooling lines. . LOL... next time you will listen to me and just pay for a DTT transmission instead of ummmm i better not say who the vendor was so that I don't make people mad. . no it wasn't ATS... ... and I don't leak any oil anymore..... so HA HA HA HA HA
