dowell pin report

cummins jessup fixed my dowell pin yesterday morning (6am) before a long drive back home to floriday. took him 1. 5hrs. (and lots of bs time included and made the washer in this time too. - i doubt if the dealer could have done it in that time or would have charged me $150). he put in a new crank seal and had lots of neat little tools to make the job easier. my pin was out about 80%. if you own a candidate truck, it would probably be worth the $ to get this done. the injection pump/gear is not cheap. pump retails for $5900 new.

when you say 80%is that in or out. Must feel good not to worry about that ^*#@ pin. Did he check for anything else.

OUT 80%. not good. front seal was replaced while he was in there. good luck. scott.

80% out holy sh--. That scares me!!! How many miles does your truck have. You must must have been doing some what iffin on that ride home. GLAD FOR YOU

How To Contact Cummins Jessup About KDP Fix?

How should I contact cummins jessup about possibly fixing my KDP before it drops? I just purchased a '96 CTD w/128K miles; I want to get this taken care of ASAP. I have not been able to locate an E-mail address or phone number on the TDR website for him.

Jessup is in Vernon, IN. close to columbus (cummins). you can call him at 812-873-7618. my rig has 60k mi. on it. if you have not had your truck tuned up, i suggest you go for the full tune-up while there. he is very professional and knowledgable. he was the guru for cummins on the 12v engine. just retired. good luck. scott.
