dowell pin?

New to this, what is the KDP everyone is talking about, i have a 2001 turbo diesel with 6-speed and was wondering if this is a problem for my vehicle

you have nothing to worry about the KDP is on the timing cover of the 12v's

go to user control panel and update your signature so we all can see what you have. unless you are like me and dont want them to know what you have

Your dowel pin, which is used to line up the timing gear cover (irregular shaped thin black box on front of engine] with the block is inside a pocket cast into your cover. On our 12V it pokes through a hole in the cover where it can wiggle out and mix it up with the gears!!
