OVERHEAD GAUGE WIRING QUESTION

05 Silencer RIng?

I have a Bully Dog Triple Dog. They claim a max of 113hp gain. I've called several times, even offering $$$ to do a Crazy Larry for my truck, or even the older aggressive programs from the Power Pup.

They answer with "the fuel system in the '03 and '04 trucks cannot handle it. "

PPE makes a downloader for the '03 trucks, but no hot program.

My BDDL is very smooth, but I don't believe their power gain claims. My BDDL does not feel any stronger on extreme than on tow. My Ramifier rated at 100hp plain spanks the downloader. Stacked they're a lot of fun, though.

I ran 553hp uncorrected with my TST and the tow program. I'd like to see the results stacked with the Crazy Larry or something similar.

My question-

Does anyone know why the older trucks aren't getting any support from these companies? Is it that there's only so much market share to be had, or is it truly something mechanical?

Marco, help us out with a Crazy Smarty!

I had one of the early bullydog power pups and it was very agressive on the extreme setting. With the EZ on 4 and pup on extreme I put down 447/930 #ad
on David Dunbars Dynojet after installing the HX40, no other power adders were used. 3 months later I sent the pup back to have an update flashed into it, got it back and noticed a substantial loss of bottom end power and some on top as well. I returned the pup to Bullydog and they re flashed again and said all was OK. I installed again and found the same loss of power as before. Soon there after I was at the Mopar madness Diesel day at Commerce raceway. I met Don Becker of Bullydog and explained my dissapointment with the pup, He said he would look into the problem and call me back. (I dynoed at the races and got 375hp If I remember correctly). Don called me soon after and explained That the software updates are based on Dodges latest software release. Due to changes by Dodge the Power Pup software became less agressive. The explination I was given for Bullydog not being able to fix the problem is that the ecm will not allow an earlier firm ware version than what is installed at the present time. I was also told that E. P. A. would not allow it because of emission laws. I personaly believe what they told me, but it still Sucks!#ad
After more conversations with Don we came to an agreement that satisfied me. I am still missing the bottom end power and response that the early pup had, I even tried the Triple Dog but with similar results. I wonder if a blank ECM could be programed with early firmware? RAY

You would not want to drive daily with CL and the TST. It is just way too much timming as stated by piers at PDR. I have tried it and my valves were knocking hard. Not to mention my throttle was to touchy at crusing speeds.
