I've been away for a while and last time I checked the only way to add HP/TQ via electronics was with boxes which plugged into various sensors, etc... (I had an EZ on my 01 that connected to a couple of different ports/sensors).

Is it true that there are "boxes" now that allow you to add HP via re-programming via the obdii port?

If so, which ones are they?

Also, if you return the program to stock is it traceable at all?

Absolutely, you have a 05 which means you can gain 230 horse with a bully dog

"crazy larry" program. You can also get it in a triple dog configuration which allows

shift on the fly horsepower settings if you get the outlook monitor with it.

The best part is you can stack it with a fuel box for another 90 horse.

This is why my 05 runs 13. 46 at 100mph to the track and pulls 10,000lbs home on a

gooseneck. The only catch is you ARE going to put a flexplate in it, and probably at least a converter, v/b, and input shaft in it.

I drive mine everyday in this configuration with no problems yet.

Depending on the downloader when you reflash back to the stock program the key cycles get reset. Unless what I read and have been told is wrong, I'm not sure if the dealer can find anything else out other than deduct that it was recently flashed.

Our Xcelerator is 215hp for $629. 00 and the hot version is 270hp for $929. 00. Any electronic power enhancer leaves some sort of trace, some are just harder to find than others.

That sure looks like this product:

Are they all the same thing judge re-badged for resellers? Who makes the original? Note the fine print stating it's not compatible with some 610 manual transmission models. Is that the case with yours?

Is the $629 model safe?

Thanks.

The Xcelorator we carry has changes in the tuning by clint, it is not just re-badged. We have not encountered any problems with them in manual trans trucks. the $629 is safe (I wouldn't advise towing with it)
