If straight pipe is installed from turbo to tip,,, has anyone mastered what to do with sensors to completely rid system of error codes?

BADP & DPF-R both have "code-free" units - BADP keeps the code from showing up and DPF-R clears the codes on startup (among other things).

BADP has has issues with some trucks and their system - so there has been bugs to get worked out. (their main deal is you can't delete the EGR with their code-free unit)

DPF-R seems to work well from what I've read.

Has anyone "mastered" the system? - no not yet... . the electronics on these engines are complex and tough to crack.

go over to cumminsforum and read to you heart's content - you'll learn alot... ... .

I really see no reason to put the probes in a delete pipe, I've run mine both ways and didn't notice a difference between straight resistors and resistors across the probes... not like it is going to look stock with a straight pipe in there anyway. 470Ω and 330Ω resistors both work for going straight across the 3 EGT connectors.

For wiring resistors across the probes most people use a 1kΩ on the front EGT sensor and 680Ω on the back two, 470Ωs across all 3 would probably work fine as well.

That said the only thing that I think needs to go back in the pipe is the 02 sensor, I believe it is a 18x1. 5mm.

on the 1k and 680 dont you have to put the egt probes back in the exhaust so it shows they are running hot enough

Found this info on the cummins forum

The pressure differential sensor pipes are located at the inlet/outlet of the DPF, the pressure difference is a parameter used for active regen of the DPF.

explanation

Could some one please explain how to do the resistors with a couple of photos so i can do the work myself

I've done the H & S kit, removed the egr and have an Edge Juice with attitude that clears the codes on start up. works great, I never have any problems. I have an afe airfilter systems also. If I lay on the throtle to hard on level four or five settings on the chip, the overhead display will chime at me and tell me to service the air filter. I have also deleted the muffler and have a dual tail pipe system. I did not notice any advantage in fuel economy though which is disapointing, but it runs alot better with alot more response when you stab it.

I have an H&S kit (on 08 SRW 3500 15,000mi) I got through Rollin Smoke Diesel. EGR is blocked off and disconnected. Edge juice wi Attitude clears codes on startup. Runs great EGR removal increased mpg by 3-4. I have no noticeable smoke on power level 1 or 2. I usually run power level 1 unloaded because the 6. 7 has great power. My unloaded mpg is regularly 17-18 around town at 70-80 mph (68RE), loaded varies with weight, but is much better than my 2004. 5, normally above 10mpg. I love the 68RE and exhaust brake, no problems with either or the turbo. Only trip to dealer was for ECM upgrade.
