DPF Cleaning Needed but no Overhead Message

My engine light came on so I went in to get the reflash and the light checked out. They said the light was related to the recall. Got my truck back and made it three miles before the engine light came back on.



Tech said the DPF was sooted up. The odd thing is my overhead never showed a problem and still said system OK. 7900 miles and my first down time. Lucky me.

We have an 08 5500 with 110K miles... in all these miles, I've personally only seen the overhead go through the process once..... I'm sure that its happened before but we've never seen the overhead display it... or at times it doesn't come on... don't know which...

I have 9600 miles and never had the overhead come on. . I did the J35 Reflash and I am seeing some marked improvement in MPG's

I drove the top part of this tank towing. . have added a little fuel here and there. . MPG's were going up normally as I thought it would. . Have 350 miles on the tank and about 1/4 Tank now... . Did the Reflash and even though the miles on the trip is high, over 350, the MPG readout is increasing faster than before. yesterday, in a 10 mile freeway commute, it rose . 4 mpg . . WOW! I thought, going up faster!. . now even though i had towed a hundred miles at around 7 mpg. . now it is up to 14. 2. Cant wait to fuel it up and reset and see if in fact it is higher. . My tires are a little bigger so my overhead is a little bit more accurate... going to take a solo run to Dallas sometime this summer. . be neat to get close to 20 mpg.

Update- Code P2A00 found corrective action replace 02 sensor, install warp, and perform mobile de-soot. Anybody have any idea what the warp is?

Isn't that the heat wrap that is around the exhaust pipe where the O2 sensore is?

EricBu12- I've been impressed with how the stock tires handle handle a 24K trailer at ten pounds over stock psi in the back and about 20 psi over stock in the front. I do like how the 19. 5 look but wondered how rough the ride is. Just adding 10-20 psi to my tires over the OEM ratings made a bid difference in how rough the ride was. I do need air bags though to control the squatting. With 24K my 4x4 looks like a 4x2.

The warp should have been wrap which has been updated to a high tech blanket.
