The local Dr. P outlet over in the next county seems to be doing well. One guy at the truck pulls was bragging about his $2500 clutch purchased from them, which is nothing more than a CenterForce...

Amazing how effective their advertising is... .

I heard Dr. "P" burned his bridges with Dave Smith motors in ID. That was a large source of income at one time. Then we hear the Denver business is closed up. Doesn't look good for the "P" man



So, did you get the controller working for the VGT? The turbo would be $2500 plus the control system eh? Maybe we could call it the "Texas Tornado"

HVAC is about right for the price, that's just the turbo alone. it will not bolt to a Exh. manifold without an adapter, all the plumbing needs to be reconfigured. A air compressor, tank, lines and a control valve are needed to control the actuator.



Nowel, as for the controller, it needs some fine tunning and possibly different modes for driving, towing and racing.



Boost is right off the line with my mildly fueled truck. With the comp on level 1x4 I can hit 40#s boost. Max boost I've taken it to is 46# @ 160K turbo speed.



I'm taking it easy on the turbo, to find out what it's limits are without blowing it up, even though abledog did bark it pretty good last night @ 40#s of boost. :--)



EGTs are down a couple hundred degrees.

160K rpm that sounds faster then some of the other turbos we have spun hard
