I have a friend who is interested in buying a chip for his truck (new 600) and he was looking into buy the Dr. P chip. I personally don't have any experience with Dr. P and was hoping someone who does can shed some light on the company and the particular chip for the 600. Thanks guys

A technician I know had one that I tried on my HO a couple of months ago. It was impressive to say the least. For around $500 and less than a minute to install, it got my vote. Only drove it for a couple of miles so I can't speak to the long term performance, but it was like the difference between my 03 SO and the 04 HO.

I have seen a lot of negative comments about Dr. I must say i say one on dyno day installed on a 3 gen and it was no slouch.

Despite some negative comments from some people on this forum I tested the Dr. Performance Predator Box for about 2 months. Under load and no load. I thought it did a great job in making my truck more driveable. Furthermore I got an honest calculated increase in mileage of 1 mi. per gal. no load and about 1/2 mi. per gal better with a 11ft-4in heavy camper. I did not see any difference in EGTs. It is a simple plug-n-play box. I did not have my truck dynoed but there is a very noticeable power increase in the power band where you need it. It is a mild pressure box.

I was going to replace it with a TST but decided against that. I now have a Van Aken installed but do not have enough miles with the Van Aken to make an accurate appraisal.

MaxTorque,

Why did you decide against the TST? Also, when you have enough time with the Van Aken, I would love to here about it.

ive heard good and bad about Dr. P.

three people have said the new Dr. p box 4 the 600 is prety good, however ive heard negative feed back about their 2nd gen box. Anyone else heard simular?

I pretty sure im gonna go for the tst box, unless someone can change my mind.

im looking for mod (50-80) HP increase on my 04-HO, but am unsure of which box to go with. I plan to loose my cat and go with a 4" system, pg7 drop in w/air box mod. Dont really want to do any transmission work but think i may have to.

I've had a 100 hp predator on mine for a year now and not a problem to speak of, simple plug and play install takes less than 30 seconds and leaves no codes
