Dr. Performance Power Module

I just read an ad in National Dragster about a Dr Performance Power Module for diesel trucks. I was wondering if anyone has used this company's modules.

I was wondering the same thing, as I am in the market for a performance upgrade for my rig. There are so many choices out there, just don't want to make the wrong one. Edge EZ has been working on a new module for some time, maybe the ticket if it ever hits the market.

Do a search on Dr. Performance and you will find enough reading to keep you busy for a few nights. Not highly thought of on here.

There is a bunch of Dr Performance stuff on Ebay. I am going to wait for a EZ. Had great luck with one on my 01.

I have a Dr. Performance Stage III, 110 HP, and I am very pleased with it so far. Granted, I haven't put a ton of miles on it yet, but so far so good. There are a lot of guys here who are not Dr. P fans, but I had an Edge Comp on my 2nd Gen and really had to watch the EGT's. With my Dr. P. I've touched a tad over 1300 a couple of times pulling a steep grade at WOT, but for the most part it seems to run a lot cooler than the Edge I had. Boost pressures would also exceed 35 lbs with the Edge, tough on a stock turbo, the Stage III gives me just under 30 lbs. Also, with the Edge my MPG barely benefited at the lower settings, and at settings 3-5 it would suck fuel like a big block gas motor! MPG with this module so far has been remarkable, I've got as high as 22 MPG on the highway, and 19 combination city/highway. It comes on strongest with your boost, once I hit 1900 RPM and 20 lbs of boost it's like pushing a nitrous button. A lotta fun! After I installed it in my truck, I pulled it out to let my DC mechanic try it in his, he ordered one the next day. This is only my personal experience, so hopefully it helps you.

WE looked into the Dr. P module for the 03, and after a call to the number on the web site the good Doctor called us back himself. The unit looks good, and the Doc seems very knowledgable, he has an '03 CTD himself that runs I think he said 600+ hp.

Lets go back a few years... . Dr. Performance used to do all of Dave Smiths performance upgrades... from what I remember he was one of the first to turn the power up... as he grew doing mostly work for Dave Smith, I'm sure he wanted more money... and Kellogg ID is not the place were most guys want to take their trucks to be bombed... .



He moved. . and I'm afraid I didn't keep track..... But at one time he was a leader. . or maybe the leader in turning up the power...
