In the new TDR magazine on page 75 is an ad for Dr Performance advertising a 90 hp module it says is not a chip and will not affect the warranty on the 2003 cummins. Any one used one of these and what is your opinion if you have? It sells for under $400 and sounds good if it does what they say.

i love that, I called them and asked for a price on a "chip" for my diesel,

they said we do not carry "chips", we carry "performance modules", I don't think chrysler will care if its a"chip" or "modules"... the warranty will be effected.

just my . 06 cents worth

performance module.

Same as the older trucks used.

Just a simple self contained box that plugs into the MAP and Data link (or fuel rail rpessure sensor on '03's+) and then alters the signal, and sends is back on it's way. All you are doing is tricking the computer.

Almost the same as a chip, but maybe not as noticeable? If you get a picky dealer,, prepare for a boot in the da rear.

Cummins powered Dodge's have never used "chips". Only within the last 6 months or so have the started using programmers (Which work hideously if I may add).

I'd stay away from the Dr. he doesn't have very good cures.

I called on that "performance module" and all it does is raise rail pressure. Also, the power claim in the ad in TDR was with Doc's injectors also. Doc doesn't have a good rap with anyone for much. He can make power, but it seems to be the concern that he doesn't do it the safest way. Any one can tell you that their stuff doesn't void your warranty. It doesn't, as long as you remove it prior to your dealer seeing it. Ask any dealer. Cummins is cracking down on the aftermarket. If they can find it, they will use it against you. just Cover Your A$$.
