I guess I will not make it to the "tailgate swap meet" since I will not arrive till AM on Tuesady. Looks like a full week schedule even without the dyno. Hope to see lot of member there next week.

May Madness Was Fun!

I just got back from 2009 May Madness an hour ago. Although there were fewer vendors at the “Hall of Gottahavits”, I still counted 56 CTD (not counting Marlin’s Ford F550 with a common rail) lined up for the photo shoot for the “Ram Roundup”. It was nice to see friends I’ve meet on my first May Madness last year. My wife and I had a great time.

I would like to thank the people who organized the event and the army of volunteers…THANK YOU!

My intention was just to enter the “Ram Rodeo” knowing I will not win as I am not a great driver but I was urged by several members to enter my truck for the “Show-N-Shine”. I was shocked when the Viper Club of Las Vegas selected my truck as “Best 3rd Gen” and “Best in Show”. THANK YOU!

My wife and I are already planning for next year.

Hey Juanito, Congratulations again on the trophies and raffle prize. I'll give you a ring next time I'm up in that area.

Jacobus,

Thanks man. This was the first time I've ever won anything of value. Have you made it home yet? Man it was a long drive. We departed right after the banquet and I drove most of the night (wife just sleep) till we got to Bakersfield and I took a well deserved two hour nap. Made it home right at 11 AM.

That wrong man you laugh when that dude sat next to us. He drove me crazy with all his nonsense talk.

My truck looks like crap now with all the bugs that committed suicide on my grill and windshield. It will take me a few days to clean it up. I'll start wrenching again this week.

You still have my number just call me when you're in the area.

I left Pahrump this morning around 9:00 and got home around 3:30ish. I made a few stops including a stop close to Dumont Dunes where an elderly man lost control of his vehicle and rolled it. Luckily someone was driving by and helped him out and the vehicle burst into flames shortly afterward. I stopped to make sure everything was under control and see if they needed help.

My truck looked like crap when I got home so I already did my 2 hr. exterior wash, tomorrow I should be able to do the rest. It's nice to know there are more people out there who obsess on their truck as much or more than I do.

I was thinking about your headliner today and I think if you remove the center console and front seats you could tip it sideways and get it out the door. If you can get a hold of the factory service manual it should say for sure.

Thanks to everyone who attended! A few of our usual vendors decided to attend the TS drags and pulls in Kentucky instead. From what I have read and heard about that event, I think they are now wishing they hadn't made that decision.
