On the fence about what to get for my truck. Allot of Comp-Hating these days and Reports of Bad cust. service at Edge so why not spend the extra 400 for the FMS? I mean to start a war here so the truth can be told so let the flames fly. I doubt anyone has had bad service with Blue chip a company that from what I can tell is small enough to still apreciate every sale and act with kindness to all customers going and coming. So what are some advantages to the FMS over the comp?

Another thing if the FMS is engineered SPECIFICALLY to the VP fuel curve and to raise or lower it for Specific results what happends when you put a Big cam In ? seems like the smoke control and all the other menus would have to be re-calibrated for your Cam. A whole new fuel curve would be needed for best results. Im just guessing cause I have used neither one and don't know how they work. How does the timming box feature work?

One other big difference- the comp will fit in the ashtray or in my voyager brake controler bracket above the controler, What about the FMS? It looks bulky what are the mounting options for it?

edge customer service from a dealer standpoint is excellent, but for high HP you need the FMS or the redline, Just look at what is on the winning 24V at IRP, scheid, and many other pulls that have been won by highly modified 24v trucks.

one more question for the FMS people,

we all know that anything over level 3 on a comp strains the pump what % fueling on the FMS would be the equivelent limit before kill?

Just a note on customer service. Chip Fisher is a straight up friendly & helpful guy. I had a little trouble getting my APB working right & he was prompt with e-mail help & we quickly traced the trouble to grounding issues.

I've had nothing but GREAT service from Edge. Replaced my comp when I had a minor problem and when I wanted to upgrade to the Drag Comp they were very helpful and I got a very quick turn around. Had my DC for 2+ years and could not be happier.

From my understanding, the HO motors prefer a fueling box over timing. I had a Drag Comp but now have a B/C FMS on the way. . :D .

The FMS works a little differently. This is definitely a question for Chip Fisher at Blue Chip. Give him a call and you will find answers to any questions you might have about the FMS.

I have personally had no problems with injection pump stress with FMS or Redline units, but I will not install one without replacing the fuel delivery system to the injection pump or the high flow system. I feel that this eliminates the majority of the risk when using a high performance box.
