The truck is a 99 FWD QC short bed ,full G. Bros. trany, DD jammer 40 turbo,Don M's Mach3's,Edge Drag Comp,pump wire stabbed,FASS,A. F. E. intake,4"exhaust. 3. 54 gear ratio. This thing feels as if it has more power on lower box setting then it has on 5x5,not making more than 36#of boost,and very SMOKEY. Anyone have any ideas whats going on. Thanks Steve
 
I have a new one on the way currently. This will be my 4th one. I had problems with both of the Comps with ver. 7 but the new one will be ver. 8. Hopefully this solves my problem. Oo.

What is the difference and what does ver. 8 do? Interesting that these boxes start losing power after 1 year since it all electronics...
 
I am not really sure what the differences are but I can say that BOTH of the ver. 7 Drag Comps I had were strange. First, level 4 and level 5 both dynoed identically. Second, in order to change the sub-level for one level you would need to go to the next level and change it there. In other words, to change the sub-levels for level 1 I would have to change level 2 and so on. If I wanted to change 3 I would need to go to 4. Really strange. I really hope that the glitch in 7 will not be in 8. I will know soon enough since my new one just arrived. I am going to install it and see what it does. :)
 
Sweeeeeeeeet, problem solved. This new one works great. It was raining so I couldn't get on it but with what I did feel was great. Seems peppier. Sure wish the PDR 50 was still on. I would like to see if max boost is back up to 57 psi or if it is 53 psi like the last two boxes. At least the glitch with the sub-levels is fixed. Now I am happy. :cool:
