1x1 no more smoke than stock, but also little difference in power over stock. 1x3, some low boost smoke, but noticable increase in power (what I use for everyday driving). 5x5, lots of smoke that never really cleans up all the way to redline, FUN power all the way to redline (no defueling in 5x5). I would HIGHLY recommend drag version. No EGT issues with stock injectors, stock turbo, and Scotty II.

Thanks Mike

Send mgoncalves a PM, he has a comp box with stock injectors but ran a Drag Comp on his truck last saturday to see what it was like. He might be able to help

The reason I ask ...

Is with the drag comp the thing smokes like crazy on 1x1 pulls good. On 3x4 runs real strong but will black out the street. On 5x5 don't think about seeing anybody in the mirror for a few minutes. Had to pull the BD3's back out just to drive it. Have a few more things to check but thought maybe the box was bad?

bad box

I don't think that the box is bad, I think that it is more to do with the injectors and box in combination. also , what turbo do you have?

Something is not right, I have DD3's and a Drag Comp with an HX40 and on 1x1 I have to really lug the engine to make it smoke much. On 3x3 it will smoke but only if I really nail it and only for a few seconds. On 5x5 the smoke is terrible.

You might look at your MAP sensor hook up and the Data link hook up. It sounds like you either have a boost problem or a bad box. Maybe switch the box out with someone locally that has a regular comp.

With DDIIIs and my comp box on 1x1 I couldn't make it smoke if I tried. The only way I could make it smoke on 1x1 would be to disconnect the map sensor, then it would dump fuel way early. I'd check out your MAP sensor connection.

Thanks,The comp before it was upgraded would barely smoke on 5x5,talked to Aaron at Edge and he said it" looks like I got one of the good ones"All the conections seem to be good will check a few more things this weekend

I think you have a boost leak or something buddy! It seems weird that it would smoke as bad as you are saying with stock showerheads. My guess is its boost related or in your map sensor.

Clutch still holding well, fingers crossed. Only had comp for about a month though. SBC Con OFE in near future I'm sure though, along with injectors and turbo upgrade.

I just received a new drag comp replacement and I only run the Comp box on my truck. Up here in Montana on 5x5 my 02 6 sp. will smoke like crazy. It's funny to watch the cars behind me, I mean I can't see the cars behind me for awhile from a stop. I called Aaron at Edge and told him about it, and he said COOL. . I told him it's fine with me, but my other one didn't do it as bad. Aaron said well there must be something wrong with the other one so I'm glad we switched it. Me too. .

Well one thing I did not think was bad is!The stupid K&N is not flowing enough air. Took it out and man the smoke is down to about half of what it was. looks like I'll put the injectors back in!

Thanks Mike
