Competition Drag question

I currently have 3. 73 gears in my truck & am going to upgrade to 4. 10's. I will be running my truck occasionally at the local 1/8 mile track and was wondering if this is a smart move? I know that I will run out of rmp's with 4. 10's on a 1/4 mile track vs. the 3. 73's, but I think the 4. 10's will allow me to get out of the whole a bit quicker. Plus I pull a heavy trailer everyday so, that is my main reason for wanting to do this change. What do you guys think?

I have 4;10 on my 2002, I would loose control before RPM's run out!!

i have 4:10s with 37s and i cant shift fast enough, makes me want the taller gears

I have 4. 10's with 35's that runs 11's in the 1/4. You will not run out of gear unless you are building a monster racer.

Wow, that makes feel feel good to know that i'll be fine. My truck is still being used for daily work, but is slowly being built for just racing only. Thanks guys for all your help.
