Drag race in Seattle

Guys I'm going to Seattle International Raceway next Saturday(September 1). It's the mopar nationals. Me and a couple of our customers are going out and I just figured that some of you might want to come out and watch or race. It should be alot of fun. I'm hoping to beat my best time of 13. 97 with no drugs.

I called SIR and the gates open at 8:00am and qualifying starts at 9:00 am.



I would like to see -Mike R. smoke the SIR track

What does it take to get on the track? Safety cage? 5 point seatbelt? Helmet? Or, the standard of America, money? Also, I wouldn't want to run if I was going to be an embarrassment.



Any ideas on how fast a 7000 lb truck with stock auto and an estimated 265 hp would cover the 1/4 mile? If I work the HP from ET equation backwards, I get an ET of 75 seconds!!!! I know my truck isn't that much of a dog!

You won't need any kind of equipment unless you run under 14 seconds. Not Likely.



Your truck will probably run high 17's. Don't worry about being embarrased were just going to have a good time.



Maybe BOB WAGNER will race aswell.



Mike, there is another tdr member racing (Steve Oppe).



Is Evan going to race or does he still have the bad clutch excuse.

Don't worry Scott,the key is dialing in your truck and running consistantly. It's real fun,you gotta do it.



Evan still has a bad clutch,and I think he'll keep using that excuse for a long time. Even if the clutch was fixed,he'll use the excuse that he's got a dead lift pump.

Per todays Newspaper nostalgia racing is held on Monday



Sunday is ET Bracket Racing. Stefan told me Bill was racing the Ford on Sunday

I was just about to update my post when I noticed Bob Wagner already beat me to the punch. Apparently I got the information mixed up in my mind after discussing it with my friend. Bob is correct, Mopar only on Saturday, ET bracket racing on Sunday and 1960-1970 nostalgia racing on Monday.
