Ahhhhh cant wait

Getting Roofing to Roof.....

Remember when stick shifts ruled drag racing? Here's a ditty I penned 'way back then:
Row, row, row your truck
Quick now you must scoot
Merrily, happily, joyfully, gleefully
Racing's such a hoot!

And here's a variant I penned to gently poke fun at a (now former?) TDR member reknowned for his reaction times. To be fair though, I've have RTs as bad as, if not worse than, his; and he did get much better with practice:
Ease, ease, ease your stakes
Slowly past the beam
"I never saw the light turn green
I must've been asleep. "

Are there any other lyricists in TDR who've penned diesel-centric lyrics to popular tunes (at least in good humor, of course)?

Oh and, by the way, Wayne (Jeff24Gordon) ran his beat-up farm truck to a best of 13. 80 at Clay City this past Saturday on a 14. 0 dial-in. I think that was 0. 7 second faster than his previous best-ever ET. Sticks may not win often any more, but they sure aren't slugs!

And, lest we forget, our very own Steve St. L. and his '98 24V stick are the *only* driver and truck to have competed in the ET races at every Thunder in Muncie and the succeeding DHRA Indy Nationals.
