Drag Racing, Ennis TX 11/08/02 anybody in?

YAHOO!! I broke the 15's! Hey, that's an accomplishment for me ! And I think we all put "Hoss" to shame :-laf. Did he even win one race?



Best run was as follows:



R/T -- . 905

60' -- 2. 593

330' -- 6. 907

1/8 -- 10. 330 MPH -- 72. 09

1000 -- 13. 293

1/4 -- 15. 791 MPH -- 90. 24



Best part of the run, NOTHING BROKE!! Still had hell with traction. I'm sure BFC will chime in here about the traction difficulties . Hey BFC, maybe you need to run one slick on the right rear :-laf.



Note to self: when attemping a burnout at the water pit, don't scare the starter guy. Poor guy, musta thought I was gonna run over him... heck, for a second there so did I!!!

Moron walked out in front of me while i was at full burn. I can still see the look on his face :--)

yep, this was just a small get together. Had a lot of fun, although I only made 3 rounds. I met my goal and didn't break, so I figured I had better quit while I was ahead.



NeedMoPower, I still think you should've tried it in 4x4. You were cookin the rear tires at every shift . Not bad for a 1st gen !



Found out "Hoss" didn't win any of the rounds. He was PO'd. Guess that "badass" V10 dually wasn't up to the challenge. I never even heard him break traction :-laf. poor guy. Even a stock powersmoke took him!

I think you are right. I should of tried launching in 4wd, but i'm too scared i'll break something. Next time I will take your advice and deflate my tires... . I think that will help keep from spining the tires. It sure does stink when you spin your tires in 3 gears when you're not trying to!!

Needless to say I will be back as soon as I play with my new gov spring and a few other things. I had a great time and cant wait to do it again.

I have to admit that I was a little scared when I heard your truck for the first time. With all that popping, I thought there was some kids shooting off firecrackers. Just remember, "Blue smoke is beautiful!"

Lesson learned at the track last night..... Comp + DTT transmission+1 wheel drive truck(I don't have a LS diff) not good off the life with right foot through the fire wall. Hell my transmission impress me though, chirp the tires, after finally getting traction, on the 1/2 AND the 2/3 shift down the track! still means I'm loosing traction put I tought it was cool!



Put on a good smoke show on the second run (got caught nappin' at the light on the first one! ) have the rubber in the right rear wheel well to prove it too:{ , new tires! less that 1K on them!



That was FUN, I had a blast! Now lets put the injectors in a start shopping for a LS kit or somekind of locker and do this again, that stuff is fun. Any suggestion for a one legged truck?:-laf



Good to meet all you guys and Chris, sorry I didn't get to say bye, hope you put that BHAF back on before going home. Any volunteer to help me put LS kit or locker in this thing? Oo.

well it was good to meet everyone (except chris hes a jerk) next time we race you put that filter back on and I will wake pull my head outa my A$$ and maybe then it will atleast look like a race.

no I had a great time maybe we should start trying to do this more often this time we even had Big K (kevin) from the power stroke association we all had a good time.
