yeah, I have been watching that as well. This just seems to be a race that is bound to be rained out.

I'm going to forecast that the jet stream is going to move to eastern PA by Friday, leaving high pressure sitting over New Alexandria. The wet weather is going to be held south and east. Saturday may be overcast, but it won't rain.



That said, I will be checking weatherunderground Friday evening anyway.

Actually Ted you'll be impressed by the early birthday present my wife just bought for the SmokinOne. It's some of that red "Long Life" antifreeze. She just felt so bad that she was the one who noticed the green stuff running on the ground the last time, that she wanted to do something nice for him.



Besides, she also figures that the red will match the paint on the underside of his hood a little better... ...

I saw one of those bodies this past summer at the Goodguys show in Columbus Ohio. VERY nice quality pieces... But I don't know, it just might be me, but it is not the same just buying a new one...



Its like the whole fiberglass street rod thing too. Steel is real dude...



About pushing Lil Red to keep up, at this point I am convinced that truck is not meant to make it to the track. EVERY time I plan on going, it either rains or something breaks... She likes dynos but hates the track... :-laf

I am keeping in close contact with the track, watching this hurricane Ivan dude, so if I hear any word of the race being cancelled, I will post it asap.

OK I think were going to be good to put some soot in the air on saturday. Like the ol smokin ram says we got sun comming up this way so bring out the big hammers. Sunny on sat and nothin on sunday so its going to finish up tonight. Hope to see alot of you tomorrow.
