I have killed another draglink, this is the second one Im not sure what the problem is, ive had it on the rack many times checking everything, also had another driveline tech check it out no clue what's causing this the good thing is they are easy to change but I still dont know why it's happening has anyone else had a problem with draglinks?

Same problem

I am having the same problem. It works fine for awhile, but when I turn the wheel sharply either way, I get a loud clunk from that general area.

I have found that the drag link is binding up (loud clunk) and ruining the tie rod end. I am now wondering if my drag link is reversed because when I look at it, it looks as though it would be better positioned the other way?

I fought this too, factory one lasted 180 thousand, replacements 10K... . When the Napa lifetime give up and I am mad at it again I am going to look at the Superlift (pretty sure that is who makes it) adj one with replaceable ends I saw at the Festival in the Foothills. Someone else here said they used Chevy parts (70s to 80s 4x4 I would guess) to put one together and get the right length..... The replacement ones definitly seem to be junk.....

My current clunk is a bad leaf spring bushing on the drivers side Oo. Oo.

Hi Dale:

It is the Superlift Adjustable Drag Link part #4040 that I have on my truck. Seems to work good so far but I only have 9,000 miles on it. So time will tell.
