I'm installing the Vulcan draw straw due to the rusty and holy fitting on top. Wondering about a few things. The module is 2 piece and has sliders which ride on a set screw. It doesn't appear the 2 halves move from each other according to wear on the sliders. You can see in the picture the only wear is minimal right at the screw. There's 2 screws on 1 side and 1 on the other. I've read these 2 halves can be screwed together so they're in a fixed position. Does it make sense to do this? I would assume yes. Second, when the draw straw is placed in position the top fitting is offset from where the draw tube sits in a hole in the center bottom of the module causing it to sit at an angle. Would it make sense to heat the tube and put a bend in it to rid of the angle it sits since the tube bottom should sit flush at bottom of the strainer?
