Has anyone used or had any experience with the DRB reader, scanner, resetter from Northern Tools? They have one for $300+ that says it will read and reset codes, moniters other vitals and has the adapters for all makes. Any input?

Thanks, Ron

No, but Sears has one for $149

Rono:

Don't know abou the the Northern Tool setup, but I was doing my usual browsing at Sears tools and found a OBD II scannner, reader and resetting tool for $149. I'm thinking about going for it and if it doesn't perform as advertised, back to Sears she goes.

Don't know about Sears...

But I would make sure they will take it back. I have asked all the local auto parts stores if I can bring the scanners back if it does not work on my truck and they all say no. That is why I have not bought one yet. I want to make sure it will work.

Personally I would think Sears would be better but I would make sure first. Would hate to be stuck with another $150 useless tool. Of course there is always ebay!!! :)

That's a good idea. I guess there are some that would buy the tool, reset their codes and then take it back. I want one that will work on my truck, my sons truck as well as wife and daughers Toyota's. I don't plan on needing it often, but when I do it could save a lot of dollars to the dealer.

I'll ask Sears.
