Post turbo egt

I have 2005 Stock 5. 9 HPCR with the EGT probe post turbo. I regularly pull 19,000 lbs. Gross combined vehicle weight. When on a steep pull I see 1132 degrees before the trans shift out of O. D. 2005 doesn't have O. D lock out just tow haul. The 1132 un-nerves me. Also when in third gear EGT is always above 1000 degrees. If I didn't have EGT probe, EGT would always be around 1100 degrees on a long hill. Any suggestions?

You can drill the manifold, its easy, and doesnt do anything to turbo, we are talking miniature particles, the same that get by your air filters. You drill part of the way, with a greased bit, you vacuum all shavings away, then before break through on a cold engine, you start truck and let idle. You then finish drilling, and with safety glasses on the mini chips blow straight up away from manifold. The job takes 10 minutes to complete. The turbo is tougher than a few micro chips. And if you dont want acurate readings, then dont put one in at all, because after turbo you need to always add about 300 degrees under load to the reading
