Perhaps. My 118K engine leaves spots. I know where from tho - most recently the delivery valve barrels, sometimes the steering pump, sometimes crankcase breather tube.

Do you you know where your leaks are coming from? it's easier to figure out what to do when you know where they are coming from...

I personally don't know any older CTDs that are completely drip free... .

i think ill be drip free if i ever get time to replace the front cover gasket on mine at 320k miles, no gasket in there now just gorilla snot

Well 2 people have jinxed themselves so far ;)

Both the trucks leak, the 98 from anywhere and everywhere (before the teardown) and the 96 from the blowby tube. (not really a leak, but it is a drip. )

Bobcat698 Heh Heh, I hear you. I used to drip outta the blowby tube, at least I thought I did, then when I went to address it, it turned out to be diesel from the return line that hooks up under the intake manifold against the engine. The line was rotten. Cheers
