Guys .... I couldn't stay away from the TDR "Official honeymoon post"

Ok, so the weather has been getting warmer, truck is smoking more and I've noticed something funny... Any time I leave a 'little' cloud of smoke, all the cars behind me drive around it. They literally will switch lanes drive around the smoke then go back to following me till the next cloud. Is it just around here that people do this? Afraid the smoke might dirty the car?? Do you guys see people that do this? Sure is fun to watch. :D

Yep, they do it to me too. Had a topless corvette yesterday do it. We were coming up a pretty good hill, and I got on it to keep my speed up, and didn't even think about smoking him out. Then I happen to look in my mirrors, and see this 'vette screaming around me two lanes over to pass, and I looked back and saw a nice large black cloud hanging in mid-air right where he had been a few seconds earlier. I kinda felt bad, 'cause I didn't mean to smoke anyone out that time... ... #@$%! :-laf

YUP, seen it here too, anytime i lay down a nice cloud, people either slow way down, or move over. guess they are waiting for the big bang, something must be wrong... right:D

yep it happens to me too :D

the best part of hi-po diesel ownership IMO

tailgaters beware!!

how about this on the back bumper... .

caution this truck spews smoke and oil frequently keep back 500 feet.

i guess there is something wrong with me. :D :D :D . . i can't smell my own diesel exhaust, so i follow other diesels [old e6 macks are great for this] to get smoked... :D

Happens to me too... . I have a sticker on the lower right cornor of the tailgate that says "Suck Fumes Ford Boy".

replace the "ford" with "rice" and that sticker would be perfect in my area

I see that a lot in my rearview mirror, too. Never have figured out why people hate it.

Setting # 7 or 8 on the Powermax3 Competition will put out a James Bond smoke screen, when using too high of a gear selection. It's fun to watch the cars burst through the cloud, just like the Delta Tau Delta Deathmobile in the movie "Animal House" :D

Shame on me, I know. I only use it on tailgaters.

That is funny, guys following e6 macks for their fix. Follow My E7 460XT and I'll assure you some thick black smoke under full pedal.

As for the pm3 thing, lately, when I come home from work there is this 35mph zone that i drive at 35-37 on. Well the 4 wheelers wanna do 45-55 and ride the back of my ram like I'm towing 'em. Put that ole 6-speed in 6th and turn up the pm3 to 9. It gets exciting. Love to see them hitting the brakes and turning on lites to see. :D They tend to stay back after a smoke out, LOL

My Girlfriends son calls my truck "The Maker of Night". He loves it when I smoke someone. He actually helps me pick out folks to smoke and I have to tell him no all the time becase he wants me to smoke everyone. Oh John look at this guy. . he looks funny, give him some somke... :D :D

Happens to me ALL the time around here... .

This AM on an off-ramp I wanted to see how the new stack could blow soot... . so I blew a little bit out the 5" of chrome happiness. The Subaru WRX behind me jacked on the brakes and swerved to avoid the soot... .

Another notable one was a tailgater... . I was in the middle lane of a 3-lane highway... . There was a Saab that was running out of lane in the right lane and he thought I was gonna move for him. Yeah... right. So he put on his high-beams and tailgated me. I slowed down to about 40mph in a 65mph zone and smoked him out..... he jerked the wheel so hard that I thought he was gonna crash.....

Sometimes I feel bad about smoking people: "Crap! Ooops... . oh well... " Other times I'm like: *evil grin*, *chuckle, chuckle*

BTW, the new stack aims the soot RIGHT AT the windshield of cars behind me... :D

That's 98% of the reason I dualled mind off in the rear if there's not a clear path you can't avoid the smoke:D The other 2% is you can smoke someone out in the other lane on the freewayOo.

I want to run the exhaust out both sides with an in cab controlled diverter valve that way i can choose which side gets full smoke. Its not fair that only the slow lane gets to feel the love:eek:

Yep... . it happens to me all the time.

I laugh when I get people that try to drive around my smoke. I like to play it cool and as soon as they get around my itty bitty puff of smoke, I then dump the throttle and show them what I can really do. :D Typically on a 4 lane road, I can cover 3 of the 4 lanes pretty easily. :D :D

Boy would I hate to be on the receiving side... LOL, but then again, I typically am when there are big rigs around... Hmm... kinda funny how once you get a smokey diesel you admire the soot cloud of others vs getting all mad about it. Usually when I am behind the rigs... I admire their soot clouds... LOL :D :D
