Ever since I installed my E-Z I have had a occasional noise from the driveline when under load and low RPM. It is like a high pitched rumble, and seems to be getting worse. I think it might be u-joints or mis-alignment of the center support. Has anyone else experienced this?

Had the same vibration in mine, and I also have an EZ, but I don`t think it caused it. Took the truck to the dealer this morning and it turned out to be the back U-joint was dust on one side!!! Lucky I have the 5 yr. / 100,000 wrap and he also replaced the vacum pump and trac bar. 49,000 miles, not all of em easy ones! Had a real wine at about 70mph with the bad u also, glad it didn`t leave me sittin!!!!

tgbol,

I have the exact same noise that you do... I have tried many times to figure out what is causing it, but have given up. My noise seems to be coming from the transfer case as far as I can tell. I just call it the "bombing" noise. It never did it when my truck was stock. It started when the EZ and injectors went in, and it is even more pronounced with my Comp box that I have now. Oh well, I figure eventually whatever is causing the noise will break, I will fix it, and the noise will disappear. (for a while anyway... ):D :D

Every truck w/ a dana rear end Ive been in has that noise under a good load. Im thinking its the nature of the beast.

Its sort of a growling / rattling noise when all the bearings are under stress at low rpm's in a high gear. The only problems Ive had w/ a dana is leaky wheel seals (2 different trucks), broken pinion tooth on a 4:56 (one less tooth overlap than ours) . Other than that they all seem to make the noise, but have handled alot of hard work, and havent left me stranded. Even the broken tooth wasnt a problme, it just went ching ching ching ching down the road for miles... . I wish dodge would stick with them, but hear they are changing to a different mfg.
