Wasn't sure which area to post in. I'm looking for a driver to bring a vehicle and boat to Alaska from the Seattle area. Other lower 48 locations also available. Thanks.

Mail me an airline ticket from Lubbock to Seattle and from the trip destination in AK back to Lubbock and I'd probablyl be willing to do it.

On edit, after a second thought, it's too early in the year to drive to AK. I'd go maybe in late April but May would be better.

1 post. the only post, brand new member, asking for a driver or drivers from Seattle to anchorage and other places 2 border crossings. use caution. if he is a legit company he should post as much.

roads are good i just drove from haines AK to Anchorage AK great condition except the frost heaves

just my 2 cents

I am with Chris on this one, I'd be very cautious running someone else's vehicle anywhere for that matter, and as he said, a brand new member as of the 22nd and this his his only post.

just my added 2 cents

I appreciate the heads up and gave me some food for thought. I think I might see a bigger red flag if it were US to Canada or a trip from Miami or a port city to someplace. In any event I have not heard from him so it a mute point thanks again for the warnings. (and please speak up in the future

Yeah, you were right to be suspicious and bring the new member one post issue to our attention.

The poster could be a legitimate guy just wanting a little assistance but it would be felony stupid for one of us to jump up without thinking and agree to drive a stranger's vehicle across international borders as he requested. The car could be loaded with illegal drugs in hidden compartments, or who knows what else.

The car could be stolen and/or have altered VIN id.

It would be too late when an unsuspecting driver pulled up to the Canadian border crossing at Bellingham and suddenly find himself surrounded by enforcement officers and ordered out of the vehicle. "I didn't know" wouldn't work very well.
