got in the truck this afternoon and the lumbar support let go, snap. well after a couple hours i stopped and managed to get the seat back apart and found there's a white plastic strap around the lower third of the seat that broke. i wonder if D. C. will send a new seat back or have someone pull the seat apart and try to put a new strap on it? with all the parts on restriction and a seat back not being a common part i can only imagine how long it will take to get it fixed?

is a seat covered under the 3-36 warranty?

what a pain in the ... back

I bought a new Intrepid in '97 and had a problem with the vinyl piping on the "leather" seat wearing. They replaced the driver's seat with no hassle at all.

I've seen more than just this post on lumbar support failures, so it's not a rare as you might think. Hopefully the repair will be a better design and last longer. Being an '04, your truck is a max of what? 11 months old? Let's hope that doesn't mean every 11 months you get to repair it!
