I am thinking about replacing the drivers seat in my 95 with one from a 97 that has electric adjustments. I think the mounting would be kinda straight forward but the wireing could be a problem or was the electric seat available as an option in 95? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks, Jerry.

Power seat was an option. I don't know if '95s had the "universal" wiring harness that they started using at some point that had all the connectors on it regardless of which accessories the truck was built with.

too bad you don't live near by and have an 01 or 02, I hate my power seat, I am tall and always prefer the seat all the way back and lumbar support actually hurts my back. The worst thing about the 02's is the controls are monted at a 45 degree angle on the side of the seat and with a 4x4 truck my leg always drags accross and moves the controls. although the 94 i used to drive had power seats this was not an issue except when some idiot at work work would take the truck jack with the settings. sure wish I could have traded the power seat when i got the truck for a comp box

Wiring the seat should be easy, just a power wire from the battery with a fuse near the battery. Ground wire from one of the bolts...

Most power car/truck seats are "standalone" and just need power and ground as long as the controls are on the seat.

I Live in your neck of the woods ,trade ya you bet . What color is your interior?

Well if you are serious and if you are ever out this way let me know. we could see if the material patterns match up exactly, that would be about my only concern

I have a 98 with a power seat, and a friend has a 95 with power seat and the only difference that i can see is the 1998 has a lumbar and the 95 does not.

I looked at both switches and and they look different. I would suggest to get the plug and other part of the wiring so then you can run power wire to the plug. The plugs look different.
