I have a 2003 I just bought and the drivers seat lumbar does not work Not a big deal to me but I cant get the lump in the seat back to go down I can hear the motor run in both directions but nothing happens Any help would be great
Do you have leather seats? My cloth power seats don't have a power lumbar support. There is a big knob on the left side of the seat that adjusts the lumbar support.
I think a fair amount of these fail. Friends truck it did and from time to time a post on sites pops up about this. It was later changed to a manual lumbar adjust. It comes with the ENTIRE seat back. But I have read where a few have taken it apart and I guess gluded/fitted broken pieces back togather and got it going again. Do a search function for other posts in the past.
I have the knob on the side, it returns to the off position all by itself. Has done that since it was new. Must be made by the same guys who make the audio equipment!

my trucks manual lumbar support failed at 30k the dealer replaced the entire seat back assy. Im guessing that you could take it apart and fix it ive had a few seats apart and mine felt like the nut stripped out that causes the bolster to expand. I didnt however get to see the broken part,
