In an attempt to tidy up the driver's side positive battery terminal wiring connections, rather than connecting the grid heater to that terminal, may it be safely connected to the fuse box that is next to that battery, on the same post with the cable that runs from that positive battery terminal to the fuse box?

I don't think I would do that. With the way it is currently wired, when then grid heaters are activated before engine startup, the approximate 200 amp current would flow directly to the grid heaters from the driver side battery.

If you modify the wiring as you stated, then the 200 amp grid heater load along with the rest of the electrical load from the battery to the power distribution center (PDC) will have to share the aforementioned wire from the battery to the PDC. That wire diameter would not handle the additional 200 amp electrical load, which would result in a significant voltage loss to every electrical component supplied by the PDC during pre / post cycling of the grid heater.

Thanks for confirming the concern and now adding further knowledge to my notes.
