I had a bad vibration developing in my plow truck. (94 2500) I checked for a bad U joint, etc. and found the front driveshaft sloppy loose where it attaches to the transfer case output. After seeing that, I remembered it had happened once before. I got the 4 bolts all snugged down and hope it will be good for a while. I guess in better weather I might pull them out and Locktite them or something. (or other suggestions?)

Anybody else have this happen?

Hi Pete,

Use the loctite. The 242 (blue) will work fine. You will be able to disassemble with normal hand tools when the time arrives. I think the bolts come that way from the factory, at least mine did. I noticed it on them the first time I had it apart. Somewhere I have a quick reference guide that I got from a loctite rep. back when I worked maintenance.

It is also possible the bolt threads have worn some from being loose. Maybe new ones are in order.
