ok Ive been following and reading a ton on here

one thing that I cant find that doesnt seem to be very clear is

what are the limits of the drivetrain after the transmission?

I know if someone has a built auto the next weakest link is the transfercase and then the differentials or axles how bout the driveshafts??

or vice versa I guess

anyway about what power level are these components replaced at or fail at and what are some options in terms of replacement if any?

thanks guys

A friend of mine had a 12v with a built automatic, 1ton transfer case, factory drive shafts and Dana 70 rear. The truck was a daily driver and also pulled a sled. He had bad problems with the 70, anything from ring and pinion, to spider gears. He never put the truck on the dyno, but with an educated guess the truck had 550Hp to the ground.
