Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) driving lights quit is the headlight switch, repairable?

my factory driving lights quit this past weekend while in the Smokies, at first I could wiggle the switch and they would come back on now I cannot get them to work at all. can the switch be repaired or will I have to get a new one? Thanks... ... ... .

According to the service manual —no.



After trying to prove the service manual wrong and investing several hours attempting to repair mine I'll also say no.
