driving schools

I've been thinking about taking a high performance driving class. I have a 80 porsche 924 that if I can ever get to stay running I want to autocross. Has anyone gone to a high performance driving school? What did you think of it? Thanks.

Check with your local SCCA. I used to belong to the one here and they would hold a drivers school every year before the start of solo 2. I never attended, but my Brother-In-Law did and found it to be a good first step. I believe that they would do the instruction in your own car as long as it passed the current tech specs. I havn't been involved in several years but I'm sure that someone will chime in if they have changed.
