I noticed that the turbo in the truck has gotten noticably louder and when I checked, no air filter. I drove close to 70 miles with no air filter! I'm a dumb*****, I know. Luckily, I had one in the cab and had just forgotten to put it on. Well I took off the all of the intake plubming and inspected it. Luckily no debris or animals, but it was dirty. Will the dirt affect anything? I was thinking the intercooler, the turbo and the oil.

p. s. anyone know the best way to clean a turbo and an intercooler?

I would wipe the propeller blades off with damp cloth.

Using air compressor blow out the dirt from the intake hose, intercooler/intercooler hoses. If that doesn't work you will have use water and maybe soap then dry them out with air

Engine oil should not be affected by dirt from the intake.

If you use the search feature there should be several threads how to clean oil out of the intercooler. You mite want to use that procedure for cleaning intercooler.

We have a 855 in the shop that a guy claims we sold him the wrong air filter 2 yrs ago!!!!!! He can't remember what the one he removed looked like but can remember for sure that we did not ask him which air filter he had, hmmm. Anyways, the tractor has only had appx 150 hrs since we serviced it in our shop for a previous owner and now has no compression. On the other hand we have ag customers who have operated for hundreds of hours in the field with no filter and never had a problem. Unless you were in a dust storm, or you are having problems I would not worry to much about the damage, just try to prevent further.

I second that. Prevent further contamination with a new filter and i would change the oil a couple of times in the near future.

Your biggest concern should be the turbo and cylinder walls. Clean off the turbo fins, all the tubes, and intercooler. Hopefully nothing has lodged in your grid heater. The fine grit is most troublesome in the cylinders because it lodges between the pistons and cylinder walls and will scour the walls.
