I read Shooter's solution to his drone so I purchased a 40'' Donaldson muffler (4'' in and out). Took about 3 1/2 hours to cut out the Banks muffler and cut down the length of the exhaust pipe by about 3'' and install the new one. Well, the drone is not gone but it is better. The speed range where the drone is most noticeable has been narrowed considerably. Before, out of OD, the drone would come in about 55 mph and stay up to about 67 mph. Now, it is there between 60 - 64 mph. I haven't checked it in OD because it didn't come in till about 80 - 85 mph and I haven't taken it out on the highway yet to see if that speed has changed. I might have to try a resonator later to see if that plus the muffler will get rid of it. In the meantime, I think I have it where I can live with it.
