Problem with new ATS trans

Doing some research on the possibility of picking up a performance type drop in air cleaner; such as a K&N or S&B for my 2017 2500.

Anyone have a experience with either or another brand? Even worth doing?

Years ago when purchasing a CAI for my 2007 I was told to go with a S&B due to its better cleaning properties over the K&N. But, that has been a few years back.

Thanks...

Filters can kill your engine quick if they don't do their job or fail. Is it under warranty? Want to see FCA deny your warranty for poor filtration? You have the deep pockets to prove otherwise? Consider any additional dirt past the air filter goes into the expensive soot filter. Dust doesn't burn so it just clogs up the DPF.

Yes K&N are horrible filters where a gravel screen would be better. You can't run without the air filter as that tends to trip a code, but, save the money over a K&N and just run without an air filter: you get the same results.

Other aftermarket "dry" filters are night and day over K&N, but, there is nothing wrong with the stock paper filter that does the best job of filtering.
