A couple of days ago, my installer was completing the install of a new DunRite torque converter/flex plate. Near the end of the job (99% done) he dropped the 6th (final) torque converter bolt down into the bell housing. We tried for 2-3 hours to locate it and fish it out using a flexible shaft with a magnet and we also tried to move it around with compressed air, but we are stuck. We can't see it or feel it. We think we will have to pull the transmission to get it out.
He's going to try to borrow a flexible bore scope tomorrow, but even if we can see it, that doesn't mean we will be able to reach it or extract it.
Any ideas?
