Archived Dropped the eclip

I was installing a new valvebody last night and dropped the e clip into the transmission ( upside down) can i wash it out with diesel or mineral spirits. I'm thinking that the stick transmission fluid won't let it fall back out when I tip it.

All better! a shot of air pushed the clip where I could get it.
