Drove a 2007

Me, Mrs and brolaw had some time to kill today and took a 2007 cummins 5. 9, quad cab 4x4 sport loaded/auto laramie for a spin today. Wow fellas--- do those thing haul *****. I have my second genner,brolaw has a 03 dually and now the Mrs has been eying one for herself. With all the mods done to mine boy oh boy would this thing give me a run for my money. Just seem to respond/handle and drive quite well-----it should for being 6 year newer technology. Just want to say to all the 3rd genner fellas that they are one sweet ride(could hardly imagine what a bombed one would pull like). Our whole family has bought all our Dodges from this one dealer so they said we could have it for 1500. 00 over there cost. Seems like a OK deal but i really have to think about it. We have no kids and both bring in good $$,only thing is our mortgage,no other debt. who knows but if we do buy i"ll have so start to surf the 3 genner forums a bit now. DW

I have always purchased my Dodge trucks for $200. 00 OVER invoice, so $1500. 00 doesn't look to inviting!

A little different up here,no rebates,incentives and with the way the oil patch is up here they have no problems moving them off the lot(this dealer in particular sell the most diesels in Canada) and is a small town dealer. I can get 2. 90% rate. What is a fully loaded truck going for in the US---around 40000. 00?

Canadan purchases.

Canada's a whole 'nother ballgame. The U. S. dealers can sell them used ones,but new ones must go through Canadian dealers.

I used to get trucks in canada and bring them back... bought 2 up in Edmonton.....



You might try both DAVE SMITH and Dishman... . www.davesmith.com and www.dishmandodge.com and get with their internet people...



they will both sell you 1000 back of invoice and rebates... . and I've heard its now cheeper for you to buy it here and take it back... .



It cost me 550 US$ to bring a truck from canada back to the US for changes and import costs... .



Hope this helps... BTW we have a guy here in Spokane who does about 1000 vehicles a year from Canada to the US... mostly for one of the ford dealers bringing used pickups back... .

Hey, I just bought a new 07 5. 9 Six Speed SLT in December and I paid 33,000 with the sticker on the truck being almost 44,000. Just some more info on the price.

And about the power of the 07's, I put mine on a dyno on Saturday and I got 286 HP/594 TQ with only an aftermarket intake, everything else stock. This was in colorado at about 6000 feet.
