Well I guy in the office just bought an '04 Ram. I got to drive it and couldn't wait to feel the extra power over my '02 HO. Umm..... it wasn't there!

I was a little surprised. Granted... he has a 4wd and a slush-box... but I thought there would be a noticable increase in power. Not so. It felt like my truck on winter fuel... . a noticable decrease.

Overall I liked the rig and I do believe the common rail is the way to go. Just don't run out to trade your 2nd gen pick-up expecting a big performance boast. JMHO!

I thought the same thing, I drove a 4x4 QC shortbed 2500 with a six speed, and it did'nt have a whole lot of low end. However it is impressive for a comepletly stock truck. I definatly won't trade mine in on one.
