After running CJ-4 last winter and seeing how quickly I got oil pressure (as compared to CI-4+), I was very impressed...
My first UOA had everything from a run from PA to Key West (with a camper and trailer) and temps over 90*F to a run to Minnesota (and the resultant -5*F temps)... the "worst" wear metal was iron @ 24ppm (with nearly 10k on the oil)...
This second UOA was all unloaded highway... and at just over 8k with iron @ 11ppm, I'm very happy...
I'm going camping next weekend, will sample after I run the truck around 80 miles to the campsite to make sure everything is blended (been sitting for almost two weeks) and sample... right around 5500 miles of nothing but loaded miles to the Rocky's... it will be 5500 miles on a filter change and the resultant 1. 5 gallons of makeup oil...
And one other thing to note... JHardwick seems to be "fueled" a little more than I am, and that might account for the differences in TBN between our UOAs (along with the miles)...
JHardwick - do you have a bypass filter installed??? If you don't that might make a world of difference in those "extended" OCIs...
