2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission DSS kit with SNOWPLOW brackets... will it work?

I've got a 01 4x4 and Im looking to put a DSS kit on. I also have a Meyer "EZ mount II" snowplow so the brackets hang down. Will there be any problems?? I would also like to know if the Track bar upgrade would be ago without any problems. I was checking it out and It looks like it will. But I figured I would poke around and see if anyone with plows have had any problems. #ad




Do you guys like your DSS & Track bar kit??

The DSS is a must for plowing, it takes all the stress of the gear box. I installed my dss with very little mod. to clear my fisher plow brackets. Good luck with install.

What kinda mods did you have to do with yours? They claim a speedy install and thats exactly what I want! no countless hours figuring out how to get around the darn bracket!

I have a Fisher Minute Mount and had to machine and reweld the mounts inorder to make everything work, it was quite the project but not terrible, maybe someone with the Meyer will chime in, some of the mount don't require any mods. From looking at the pictures I can't use the 3rd gen track bar without modifying that too so I am looking into other options.

Anyone with a Boss? I have a '96 with a Boss and would like to use the DSS if it will work without lots of modifications?

Emailed RIP and hes out west so they dont deal with plows but he and I also emailed David ____? east about the problem but not word back yet.



Do you have to fab around the rear support brackets? thats what its looking like Im goign to have to do

The DSS fit with no modification to my Meyer brackets. The 3rd gen. track bar kit did require some fabrication work on the bracket, but it's well worth it!!
