anyone have this problem with there DSS steering/stab the extension nut had only 3 grooves of thread left on it. it was barely on. so I had to call and order a new one. the truck will be down now the opening weekend of deer season.
 
I guess my fault the last time I had to move it was when I put my lift on and I'm assuming I didnt TQ the nut down correctly that was over 25k miles ago. have a new nut and bearing for tomorrow to install. just glad it didnt destroy the steering box shaft.
 
My entire DSS would not even fit when it arrived, The crossmember did not fit the frame and the bearing support plate did not even come close to aligning with the extended nut and it was way too low on the nut shank. I had to cut the thing apart and move and reweld the plate, as well as correct the frame mount holes. It was very poorly mass-produced given the unreasonable cost. But it is effective at what it does once the problems are fixed. Great idea; lousy product quality.
 
that suprises me with not fitting. agree great idea. now there alot more choices for people. I'm sticking with the dss I just had to rebuild the nut. but other companies I think are probley same quality just lower on the $.
 
My "DSS" came from PSC. It fit fine, but there were a few issues. There was weld splatter all over it and the bearing wouldn't fit over the nut. I guess I'm glad I bought it, but I really couldn't tell any difference after the install.
 
I'm really happy now that I did my T style steering conversion have the dss steering brace and dt-pro fab trac bar. all is good now on this combo. only thing next is putting back on my steering stabilizer (procrastination)
